Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support cooking activities by following recipes accurately and adhering to menu plans Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety management standards Help with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients Support meal preparation for various service settings including catering events or restaurant operations Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to ensure smooth service flow and timely meal delivery Qualifications Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Experience working in food service environments such as restaurants or catering is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments is essential Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and familiarity with food handling procedures are required Ability to follow recipes precisely and support menu planning efforts Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff Basic understanding of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Previous experience in food industry roles that involve cooking, meal prep, or serving is advantageous Join us if you're eager to contribute your culinary talents in a vibrant environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are at the forefront!
