In this role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness standards, and assist with meal service to ensure smooth daily operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold our commitment to food safety, quality, and exceptional service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while working alongside professionals. You will train with the day staff. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines and safety standards Operate basic kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, meat slicer, and dishwashers safely and efficiently Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in accordance with food safety regulations Handle food products with proper hygiene practices to prevent contamination and ensure food safety management Follow menu plans accurately while adhering to recipe specifications and portion sizes Contribute to inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock levels or shortages Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving when needed Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods Experience Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety standards Experience operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and dishwashers Understanding of food safety management practices aligned with industry standards Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining high-quality presentation standards Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members Catering experience or involvement in food industry roles that emphasize safety standards in production is advantageous Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
