Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meal service Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards Help with meal plating and serving to ensure timely delivery of meals to customers or residents Follow dietary guidelines and menu plans while preparing meals for specific dietary needs or restrictions Support catering events by setting up food stations and assisting with serving duties Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers according to safety protocols Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department, restaurant, or food industry setting is preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Basic culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation Experience with menu planning and food service operations is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn new techniques Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform manual tasks Embark on a rewarding journey where your contributions directly impact the well-being of others.
