Full Job Description About Us:

Grain + Sea is a modern, buffet-style sushi restaurant where guests build their perfect sushi box and pay by weight. With over 30 fresh options, from classic nigiri to creative specialty rolls, we're here to make sushi fun, fast, and fresh - without compromising on quality. Responsibilities:

Assist chefs with simple sushi assembly and ingredient preparation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, tools, and containers according to food safety standards Prepare basic items such as rice, miso soup base, and sauces under the chef's supervision Label, date, and store food items properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste Restock ingredients and supplies during service to support smooth kitchen operation Dispose of trash and recycling regularly and maintain a clean work environment Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling policies at all times Assist in daily opening and/or closing duties Communicate effectively with chefs and coworkers to ensure efficiency and consistency

Requirements:

Prior kitchen experience is required (at least 1 year required) Valid Food Handler License Good knife skills and understanding of sushi ingredients Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Punctual, professional, and eager to grow
