Description:

Function Assist the chef in ensuring a smooth functioning of the kitchen and the serving of nutritious and appealing meals 3x/day for children who live at Lydia Home, keeping in compliance with all regulations. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen work environment. Routinely introduce new foods and tastes to enhance lifelong healthy eating. Responsibilities Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods Occasionally serve food Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes Handle and store ingredients and food Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils Check the quality and freshness of ingredients Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers

PM Requirements:

Food service experience is preferred Must be able and willing to support the mission of Lydia Home Association (LHA) Must be organized and have a warm, welcoming, and engaging personality
