Help us provide healthy, nutritious, appealing food to our students and staff! This position fills in when our regular staff will have an extended absence. A Day in the
Life:
Prepare healthy, sanitary and appealing food to meet the nutritional needs of students and staff Utilizes sound sanitation standards in order to meet all district, state, and federal mandates Assist in serving food so that staff and students receive the food in a timely and friendly manner Perform other tasks necessary for efficient functioning of the food service program (e.g. washing dishes, scanning tickets, keeping the kitchen cleaned and organized, etc) Assist in daily inventory, re-stocking supplies, and notifying manager so that the food service program has the necessary resources to function efficiently Monitor and ensure compliance with temperature guidelines of the food and dishwasher Deep clean and defrost as necessary Maintains confidentiality as required by district, state and federal laws Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the kitchen
Successful Candidates:
Pass a background check Have a current TB test Food Safety Basics - State Department of Education Are strong team players Possess basic computer and math skills Must enjoy a fast pace environment Understand and follow state health regulations Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Can spend 80% of their day standing and 20% walking - Time is spent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using finger dexterity Can work in extreme temperatures in a noisy and crowded environment containing hazards Maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality What's in it for you: Part-time hours only working when school is in session A positive and hardworking team experience To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
