HERE'S WHAT WE NEED
An awesome smile and winning attitude. A willingness to learn and be part of a winning team. 1-2 yrs working with oysters - experience is a plus, but not necessary. Ability to work holidays, weekends, and Sundays. Ability to follow a schedule and be punctual. Able to stand/walk for 8 hours. Able to lift 50 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shuck oysters to specifications - safely, clean, and efficiently Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables and/or preparing sauces) Shuck and/or cook oysters in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team Answer, report and follow kitchen managers instructions Clean up station thoroughly Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards Comply with state laws Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members Entertain guests and assist bartenders in cleaning and maintenance. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance under pressure. SKILLS Proven cooking experience Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with our industry's best practices Friendly Personality and Understanding of Health Code
