Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient food preparation process. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. Responsibilities Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with meal preparation by assembling ingredients and ensuring all items are ready for cooking. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Support catering events by preparing food items as directed by the culinary team. Stock supplies and assist in inventory management to ensure all necessary items are available for meal service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus. A background in culinary arts or catering can be beneficial for understanding kitchen operations. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed within the kitchen setting.
