Food Service position at
Middle School Hours:
Monday through Friday 7am to 1:30pm Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our food service team at Charlotte Middle School. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a school environment and is committed to providing nutritious meals to students. The Food Service team plays a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring a positive dining experience for all students. This position will be benefit eligible. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with established guidelines and menus.
  • Assist in the daily setup and cleanup of the cafeteria, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Monitor food safety and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations.
  • Help students with meal selections and provide information about menu items.
  • Collaborate with other food service staff to ensure efficient operation during meal times.
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Support special events and activities as needed, including catering for school functions.

      CERTIFICATION or
      WILLING TO TAKE CLASS
        RESPONSIBLE FOR FOOD PREPARATION, AT THE DIRECTION OF THE KITCHEN LEAD
          ASSIST WITH BREAKFAST IN THE CLASSROOM
            SET UP SERVING LINE
              SERVE LUNCH, RUN DISHES, STOCK, CLEAN UP & SANITATION OF KITCHEN
                ANY OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR
                Requirements
                • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
                • Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
                • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
                • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
                • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
                • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
                • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability during school hours and occasional special events.
                • A passion for promoting healthy eating habits among students.
