Food Service position at
Middle School Hours:
Monday through Friday 7am to 1:30pm Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our food service team at Charlotte Middle School. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a school environment and is committed to providing nutritious meals to students. The Food Service team plays a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring a positive dining experience for all students. This position will be benefit eligible. Responsibilities- Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with established guidelines and menus.
- Assist in the daily setup and cleanup of the cafeteria, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations.
- Help students with meal selections and provide information about menu items.
- Collaborate with other food service staff to ensure efficient operation during meal times.
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
- Support special events and activities as needed, including catering for school functions.

ANY OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability during school hours and occasional special events.
- A passion for promoting healthy eating habits among students.
