This position is located at our Hall Street location in our Gluten Free specific pastry kitchen. We are looking for a focused, organized, and efficient individual with prior baking experience to join the team! The ideal candidate would have these characteristics:

• Works efficiently with both space and time. The kitchen and the team are small, so cleanliness and excellent time management skills are a must.
• The candidate must know how to use commercial equipment such as digital scales, convection ovens, and floor mixers.
• Our Gluten Free products are sold locally, as well as across the country via GFS, Sysco, Van Eerden, and our own website, glutenfreepastries.com. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail by paying close attention to recipe accuracy. Our GF products must maintain very specific level of consistency to ensure that our customers receive the same products, every time.
• We are looking for someone that works well on a small team of 2 and can follow instructions given to them by their partner, as well as from Management.
• Our Gluten Free department cannot function without keeping very strict par levels and inventories. Because these things change daily, we are looking for someone who can be flexible with production lists and pivots when necessary.
• Every Gluten Free item is baked and individually packaged in our Gluten Free kitchen. Packaging, boxing, and shipping will be a part of the chosen candidate's daily workload.
• While baking experience is required, the ability to watch and learn is also a must! Gluten Free baking is very different from traditional baking, therefore, a re-training of the basics will be necessary.
• Because the team is small and the work is plentiful, we are looking for someone who values being on time and ready to work!

Position Highlights:

• Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Weekend shifts are sometimes necessary in order to meet production goals. Notice will always be given prior to scheduling.
• Starting rate: $18.00/hour. Performance based wage increases are accessed regularly.
