Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
To perform duties related to combining, portioning and serving of food, transportation of food and supplies, facility and equipment cleaning and ware washing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and portion food items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standardsCombine ingredients and assist in food preparation tasks under the direction of kitchen supervisorsServe food to patrons in a timely and professional manner while maintaining food safety standardsTransport food, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility safely and efficientlyMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen facilities, work surfaces, and equipment in compliance with health codesPerform ware washing duties including loading, operating, and unloading commercial dishwashing equipmentOrganize and stock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment in designated storage areasAssist with inventory management and report supply shortages to supervisory staffFollow all food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and ensure customer safetyCommunicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding operational needs and concerns Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environmentWillingness to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous food service or kitchen experienceFood Handler Certification or ServSafe Food Safety CertificationExperience operating commercial kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinesKnowledge of basic food preparation techniques and knife skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededExperience with inventory management and stock organization Additional Information
