Job Description
The Nutrition Assistant supports the Culinary Services team by assisting with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen sanitation to ensure residents receive high-quality meals in a clean and efficient environment.
Job Summary:
The Nutrition Assistant performs food preparation tasks as assigned, including tray production duties. The Nutrition Assistant also performs a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, scrubbing, cooler and freezer maintenance, and helps to keep the storeroom clean and orderly. Responsibilities also include daily cleaning of carts, equipment, and work areasJob Responsibilities:
Dishwashing- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized. Kitchen maintenance
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized. Food preparation
- Assist with daily food production and preparation. Serving meals
- Help serve food and assist residents with their dining needs; following food preparation, sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
16+ years of age Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle various ingredients including but not limited to pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fruits and vegetables.
