Job Description

We are looking for a General Crew Member and Barista for Wrap it Up a Tex Mex Grill! Wrap it Up is a family run restaurant serving great service, delicious coffee and Tex Mex food to people at the heart of Downtown Kansas City. Our food is prepared from scratch every morning and set out in a line and ready to be assembled at the specifications of our guests. We also offer a full coffee menu. Candidates should be able to take part in a wide range of tasks necessary for the daily operation of our restaurant, including cooking, preparing espresso drinks, and interacting with guests.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience working as a cook in a kitchen. 1+ years of barista experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills to have respectful and amicable interactions with customers. Ability to follow detailed instructions (follow recipes, sanitation protocols, etc.).
Duties include:
Cooking/preparation of ingredients (chopping vegetables, slicing meats, etc.). Preparing a variety of espresso drinks. Running the food line. Maintenance of a clean and organized working area, including dishwashing, disinfecting surface areas, sweeping/mopping floors. Use chemicals and cleaning materials according to safety regulations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
18+ years old. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Eligible to work in the United States.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand for long periods of time. Bend, stoop, lift and reach. Lift and carry racks of up to 50 pounds; reaching and placing items on high shelves.
PREFERED
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience cooking Mexican food and breakfast foods.
