Everything we serve is made from scratch: we peel the garlic, roast the peanuts, and build every sauce and seasoning ourselves, with fresh ingredients and absolutely no MSG. Our food is filling but never heavy, and we put as much care into how a guest feels as how the food tastes. The Role You're the face of Lona's. As a Front of House Team Member, you set the tone for every guest — taking orders at the counter, answering menu questions, expediting, and packing food for dine-in, take-away, curbside, and online orders. If you genuinely like people and move fast without losing your cool, you'll thrive here. What You'll Do Greet every guest warmly and make them feel taken care of Take orders accurately at the counter and ring transactions on our SpotOn POS Know the menu well enough to guide guests, including vegetarian, vegan, and allergen questions Expedite and pack dine-in, take-away, curbside, and online (SpotOn) orders correctly Run food, bus tables, and keep the counter and dining area clean and stocked Communicate clearly with the kitchen during rushes to keep tickets moving Maintain front-of-house cleanliness, sanitation, and food-safety standards What We're Looking For Friendly, upbeat, and genuinely enjoys hospitality Reliable and punctual — we count on you to show up Stays accurate and calm during high-volume rushes Counter-service or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required — we'll train the right person Able to stand and move for full shifts and lift up to ~30 lbs Weekend availability Food Handler's permit, or willing to obtain one (we'll point you in the right direction) Why Lona's Competitive pay: $20-25/hour DOE Free shift meals of food you'll actually be proud to serve A tight, supportive team and a from-scratch kitchen that takes pride in its craft
