Job Description

Kitchen Team Member $12 - $15 per hour (depending on experience), plus tips Founded by Lee and Pup McCarty in 1991, McCartys Gallery Restaurant located in downtown Merigold has been serving lunch and hosting special events for over thirty years. The Gallery is a perfect place for a unique lunch and brunch experience. We are looking for a Kitchen Team Member to assist with lunch on Fridays and lunch/brunch on Saturdays. The typical hours of work will be Thursdays for 3 -4 hours for prep work, and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, but we are flexible with class and other work schedules.
Responsibilities :
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Preparing food to include cleaning and cutting the ingredients for salads and cooking main dishes, desserts, and appetizers Cook menu items in cooperation with the Kitchen Manager Communicate ticket times and potential problems with service/kitchen team and managers Clean up and store food items appropriately Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensure proper rotation of all products to include labeling and dating all perishable items to ensure freshness standards are met Ensure food quality and compliance with MS Department of Health regulations by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation of food products Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
Job Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or culinary education Lift and carry up to 25 pounds Stand, move, and walk all of the assigned shift Must be able to organize and execute all tickets received for cooking
