Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Kitchen Facilitators primary responsibilities include management of all facets of food production, daily accounts and deposits, food orders, supervision of the preparation and the service of quality meals to students and staff, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, rotating food stock and supplies, assisting with the dish machine and manual dishwashing, and providing superior customer service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and/or receive meals to be served daily to our members (Including summer filed trip meals etc.) Participates in the financial management process by carefully monitoring portion control, proper pricing, and safe storage of supplies and food. Supervise kitchen assistants and Hope student interns Follow receiving procedure to assure quality of food received Observe safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions Log daily meal counts and production reports Complete all paperwork and grant requirements for the Foodbank of the Heartland Meal Program Maintain all proper cleaning procedures according to CDC standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and members Attend all scheduled meetings Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must demonstrate excellent attendance and work record Must have organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Two or more year's experience in a cafeteria serving 75+ Working knowledge and ability to utilize online computer programs and technological devices and produce the required reports. Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift, unload and move food and supplied Demonstrated leadership/management skills, including problem-solving and decision-making.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
