Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cooking and Cleaning Helper to join our team! In this vital role, you will assist in preparing delicious meals while maintaining a spotless and sanitized environment. Your enthusiasm for cleanliness, efficient time management, and commitment to quality will ensure a comfortable and welcoming space for residents or clients. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation by following recipes, safety standards, and hygiene protocols to deliver tasty, nutritious dishes. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including countertops, appliances, sinks, and floors, adhering to sanitation procedures. Experience with cooking, use of oven, deep frying etc. Able to function in fast pace kitchen. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning windows to uphold high standards of hygiene. Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely to clean surfaces, floors, bathrooms, and other designated areas. Manage manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items like furniture or supplies safely to prevent injury. Skills Proven experience in cooking or food preparation within residential or hospitality settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures across various environments including residential homes or commercial spaces. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and steam cleaners; ability to operate them safely. Expertise in floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing. Ability to perform outdoor work when necessary for yard or patio cleaning tasks. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout your shift. Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required during cleaning or moving supplies. Effective communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within a housekeeping or custodial setting.
