About Us Banh Voyage is a vibrant, fast-casual Vietnamese restaurant specializing in fresh, authentic banh mi sandwiches, vermicelli noodle bowls, rice plates, and traditional Vietnamese coffee. Our mission is to share the delicious flavors of Vietnam in a welcoming and lively environment. We pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients and a commitment to excellent service. We are a small, close-knit team and are looking for dedicated individuals to join us at the back of house. Job Summary We are seeking reliable, hard-working individuals to fill back-of-house roles including Prep Cook and Dishwasher . These positions are crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly, cleanly, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for food. We are a new restaurant and will provide the right candidate(s) plenty of room for growth as we expand our outreach in the community.
Responsibilities Prep Cook Duties:
Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables. Prepare and portion meats, marinades, and other ingredients according to established recipes and procedures. Help assemble and restock sandwich, grill and noodle/rice bowl stations to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Label and store all food items correctly Maintain a clean and organized prep station, refrigerators and freezers. Support the kitchen team with general cleaning and organization tasks.Dishwasher Duties:
Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Manually wash oversized pots and pans that do not fit in the machine. Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including all dish racks and shelving. Assist with sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash and recycling. Stock clean dishes and cooking equipment in designated areas. Adhere to all sanitation and health and safety guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency. A strong commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. Flexible availability, including weekendsJob Types:
