In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness standards, operate kitchen equipment safely, and ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently. Your contribution will help deliver delicious meals efficiently while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on culinary experience and develop essential skills in a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and guidelines Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal production Operate basic kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, fryers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to meet strict sanitation standards Handle food items properly according to food safety management practices to prevent contamination Support with meal assembly, plating, and presentation under supervision Ensure adherence to safety standards in production areas and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Exposure to menu planning, food handling, and food safety management enhances your suitability for this role Experience working in restaurants or catering environments provides valuable insights into food service operations Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and knife skills such as slicing techniques is beneficial Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members are essential Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent quality in meal preparation Knowledge of safety standards in the food industry ensures a safe working environment for all team members
