You'll play a key role in our success, with real opportunities to grow as we expand. We are seeking a kitchen staff member to assist our candy kitchen operations. This is a key position in our business and works directly with the Kitchen Manager to achieve our company goals. This is a hands-on role : the kitchen staff member is responsible for producing high-quality confections while also assisting the kitchen team, helping maintain raw ingredient inventory, and helping execute the production schedule. The right candidate thrives in both crafting candy , ensuring efficiency, consistency, and compliance with Buffett's standards. Key Responsibilities Production (Hands-On Cooking) Serve in the candy kitchen, producing confections to company standards. Operate kettles, mixers, and other cooking equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all recipes are followed consistently to maintain quality and product integrity. Assist kitchen cleanliness and organization. Must be able to lift 60+ lbs consistently Production Scheduling Execute the weekly and daily production schedule , ensuring batches are completed on time. Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager to adjust for changing demand. Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to workflow and efficiency. Inventory & Materials Management Monitor raw ingredient levels. Communicate purchasing needs in advance to prevent shortages or delays. Maintain accurate ingredient usage and waste tracking to support cost control. Quality & Safety Ensure all production meets company standards for taste, appearance, and consistency. Follow Buffett's production guidelines, documenting as required. Report and resolve any quality or safety issues immediately. Qualifications Proven record of job stability. (3-5 years minimum per job) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Basic inventory management and scheduling skills. This role bridges craftsmanship and leadership . The person must love being in the kitchen but also thrive on running it like a business unit . We are looking for someone who brings a great attitude and a sense of urgency to our team!
