Overview Join our vibrant culinary team as a Kitchen Helper and be a vital part of creating delicious, nutritious meals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment! This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about food service, eager to learn culinary skills, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. As a Kitchen Helper, you will support chefs and dietary staff in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen organization, ensuring smooth daily operations that delight our guests and residents alike. Duties Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for meal service Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and to quality standards Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Handle food items safely during storage, transfer, and disposal to prevent contamination Help with serving meals to residents or guests in a courteous and timely manner Support dietary department tasks including menu planning assistance and portion control Ensure all kitchen areas are organized, stocked, and ready for daily operations Requirements Previous experience in dietary services or food industry settings is highly desirable Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills is preferred Familiarity with restaurant or catering environments will be advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and residents Basic understanding of menu planning, food service protocols, and culinary practices is a plus Embark on a rewarding journey in the culinary world by helping us serve up excellence every day!
