Kitchen Steward

Gardiner Bakehouse is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to keep our bakery running smoothly. Ability to work Sundays and Mondays is required; other shifts possible as well.

Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, baking tools, and equipment. Keep dishwashing station, sinks, and floors clean and organized. Clear and clean tables, countertops, and work surfaces. Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen areas. Take out trash and recycling. Handle laundry, including kitchen towels and aprons. Support the baking and front-of-house teams by pitching in wherever needed.

What We're Looking For:

Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to take initiative and help out where needed. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude. Experience in a kitchen environment preferred, but not required.

Compensation:

Base pay is $16.50/hour plus pooled tips (avg. of additional $3-$4/hour). Full shifts include a half hour paid break, comped sandwich and beverage.
