Food Expoditer Location:

View (3 Consuelo Place, Oakdale, NY) We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Expoditer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing excellent customer service and supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver food and beverages to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist with food preparation, including plating and garnishing dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
• Take orders and operate the Toast POS system.
• Provide exceptional guest services, including answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Help with bussing tables and clearing the dining area.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure dishes are delivered promptly.
• Upsell and make recommendations to guests to enhance their dining experience.
• Assist with food service, including expediting and plating food.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our menu and ingredients.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, providing a welcoming environment for guests.
• Follow all food safety and health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Toast POS system.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry trays and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to help with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
• A positive and friendly demeanor, with a focus on providing exceptional guest services.
