Stony Point Center, owned and operated by PC(USA) for over 40 years, is located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, 45 minutes northwest of New York City in beautiful upstate New York. Basic Commitment:

Position Purpose:
As a member of the kitchen team, prepare salads, desserts and special requests as needed. Kitchen Assistant also cooks the hot meal when necessary or in the absence of the cook and clean kitchen and dishes.
Work Schedule:
This is a one-year term contract role working part time (non-benefits) at 19.5 hours per week. Flexible hours. Weekend and holidays are required. Roles and Responsibilities (list in order of priority):
Assist the cook in preparing both hot and cold meals and take on the responsibility of cooking main meals and special orders when needed.
Ensure that the menu board and food items are clearly and accurately labeled (e.g., Vegan/ Gluten free, etc.).
Set up and replenish food and beverage items throughout meal service and maintain a clean serving area.
Clean the beverage and buffet stations during and after meal service.
Help clean guest tables, the kitchen, wash dishes, and manage garbage and recycling duties. Provide support with general kitchen tasks as requested by other kitchen team members.
Essential Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen team Engage with guests and staff in a manner that promotes a positive and welcoming atmosphere at Stony Point Center. Assist the cook with the preparation as needed. Fluency in one or more languages other than English is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, while respecting varying work styles
Physical Requirements:
Available to work flexible hours, including some days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
