As a Barista, Kitchen helper, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Kitchen helper, prepares and cooks food in a restaurant or other food service establishment, working as part of a team to ensure dishes are prepared efficiently, accurately, and to the required quality standards. Kitchen helpers are responsible for specific stations or areas of food preparation, following recipes and instructions from chefs. Line cooks adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and cleaning procedures. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently for order taking and payment processing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both customers and staff. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction. Qualifications Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately. Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is an asset. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices is beneficial. A friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
