Seasonal Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview:

Kitchen assistant is a position at a summer camp. Age range of 18-30 years old. You have to be able to work 6 days a week 7.30am till 7pm. We are seeking an hard working and responsible individuals to join our Kitchen/ support staff team this summer. We are NJ Camp Jaycee, a residential summer camp for Adults with Intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our campers participate in a recreational overnight program, taking part in sports, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, dance, sensory and nature. We have around 100 international staff members that join us during the summer.

Duties:

• Prep, serve and breakdown after breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Follow cleaning standards as trained
• using the dishwasher
• receive food deliveries, manage inventory
• Maintain hygiene standards

Experience:

• Have at least basic knowledge on how to work in a kitchen.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to solve problems and find solution with tasks you face
