Kitchen Team Member - The Food Shack (Middletown, RI) Who We Are At The Food Shack, we're raising the bar on fast casual dining. Since 2010, we've been serving up tacos, bowls, burritos, BBQ, and açaí with bold flavors inspired by the Pacific, Caribbean, California, and beyond. We're passionate about clean ingredients—no seed oils, no enriched grains, no artificial junk—just real food done right. We're a fast-paced, fun, and team-oriented restaurant where hospitality, consistency, and authenticity are at the heart of what we do. The Role We're looking for dependable, motivated Kitchen Team Members to join our crew. In this role, you'll rotate across a variety of stations—from BBQ and açaí to dish, commissary prep, and line service—helping keep our kitchen running smoothly while delivering the consistent quality our guests expect. You'll also pitch in with general cleaning and upkeep to keep the restaurant safe, clean, and welcoming. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and standards. Work across multiple stations (BBQ, açaí bowls, line, dish, commissary). Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portioning. Assist with food prep (washing, chopping, marinating, etc.). Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and work areas. Support dishwashing and general restaurant upkeep as needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment. What We're Looking For Kitchen experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn.
