$16.00 per hour, maximum 29 hours per week
Reports To:
Culinary Director
Position Overview:
The Kitchen Staff supports the Culinary department by helping to prepare and serve quality meals to students and staff as well as by maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Possess a commitment to safe food handling procedures
Wear proper attire while on duty ie. closed toe and heel, non-skid shoes, clean apron as
needed, hair net to be worn at all times during the kitchen shift
Assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and mealtimes
Set up the satellite sites before mealtimes
Serve breakfast and lunch
Basic food preparations such as chopping, peeling, etc.
Clean the kitchen
Ability to drive to satellite campus
Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED
ServSafe certification (will provide training)
Must be able to positively interact with students and staff daily
Must be alcohol & drug-free with a Background Criminal Investigation (BCI)
Must be able to take and read directions
Must be able to stand on your feet for several hours
Positive and team player
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Kitchen/ Restaurant/ Culinary experience preferred
