The Pastry Assistant supports the Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of baked goods, pastries, and desserts along with plating desserts for dinner service. This role requires precision, creativity, and efficiency to ensure high-quality products are consistently delivered. The Pastry Assistant is expected to maintain cleanliness, adhere to food safety standards, and contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment.

- Reliability Responsibilities include:
- Assist pastry chefs in preparing doughs, mousses, batters, and miscellaneous dessert prep
- Prep station in order to successfully execute service
- Plates desserts for service to the specifications of the pastry chef
- Reporting to the Pastry Chef on duty and carrying out instructions
- Making sure station and storage areas are stocked according to health code
- Help with setup and breakdown of daily stations according to company and health code standards
- Follow recipes and food safety procedures accurately
- Work with other cooks as a team to achieve excellence during service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary School training is a plus
- Experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Open availability including weekends and holidays
