Job Description
Flavorshack - Back of House (BOH) Team Member Position Summary The Back of House (BOH) Team Member is responsible for preparing food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and supporting the front of house to ensure every guest receives fresh, high-quality food quickly and safely. Team members are expected to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and maintain Flavorshack's standards for food safety and cleanliness. Essential Responsibilities Food Preparation Prepare ingredients according to Flavorshack recipes and standards. Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently. Portion and label food correctly. Restock prep stations throughout the shift. Kitchen Operations Assemble and plate menu items according to presentation standards. Maintain speed and accuracy during busy meal periods. Assist with cooking and preparing food as assigned. Ensure all orders are complete before leaving the kitchen. Cleanliness & Sanitation Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized at all times. Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment and utensils. Run dishes through the dishwasher and properly store clean items. Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, and complete assigned cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Team Support Run food to guests when needed. Assist teammates during busy periods. Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is running low. Complete opening, shift, and closing duties. Maintain a positive attitude and communicate respectfully with all team members. Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required. Expectations Arrive on time and in proper uniform. Follow all Flavorshack food safety and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Treat coworkers and guests with professionalism and respect. Be willing to help wherever needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
