Pay $14.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience. The individual starting rate will be determined after the candidate's experience and qualifications are reviewed. Position Overview This is a general back-of-house position. Team members may assist with grilling, skewer preparation, meat and vegetable preparation, portioning, marinating, stocking, cleaning, dishwashing, or other kitchen duties. The kitchen manager will evaluate each candidate's experience, learning ability, and hands-on skills during the interview and determine the most appropriate kitchen work assignment based on restaurant needs. A specific kitchen station or starting rate is not guaranteed before the evaluation is completed.
Employment Types Full-Time:
Approximately 35-40 hours per week
Part-Time:
Hours vary based on availability and business needs Workdays and shifts are scheduled according to restaurant needs Schedules may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, late-night shifts, preparation before opening, and closing work that may continue after 2:00 AM. Responsibilities Prepare meat, vegetables, skewers, and other ingredients Cut, weigh, portion, season, and marinate ingredients as assigned Assist with grilling, cooking, and food assembly based on training and experience Monitor cooking time, temperature, quality, and doneness when assigned Stock and organize kitchen ingredients and supplies Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, equipment, and storage areas Complete assigned opening, preparation, closing, and cleaning duties Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures Communicate and work efficiently with the kitchen team Perform other back-of-house duties assigned by the kitchen manager Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the United States Reliable transportation and attendance Able to commute consistently to the Allen location Available for evening, weekend, late-night, and closing shifts Comfortable working in a fast-paced and hot kitchen environment Able to follow instructions and learn company procedures Willing to perform different kitchen duties based on restaurant needs Previous restaurant or commercial-kitchen experience is preferred but not required Experience using kitchen knives, grills, fryers, scales, or food-preparation equipment is helpful
