Job Description
The purpose of this work is to ensure that local, state, federal, and agency regulations in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen are being implemented.
Assist in all meal preparation. Assist in cleaning and sanitizing utensils, dishes and equipment used in food service daily. Monitor and record temperature of freezers and refrigerators daily. Monitor and record temperature of meals. Assist in special diet meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness of floors and dry storage area daily. Assist in receiving and storing of food items. Assist in determining proper portions when cutting and slicing food items for meals. Assist in discarding trash and boxes in proper receptacles. Deliver meals to center when food transportation drivers are unavailable. Must attend all trainings deemed necessary by Executive Director to comply with TDFPS Child Care Minimum Standards and Performance Standards during the summer months. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Executive Director. Must comply with Civil Rights Law.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish). Must have automobile and current liability insurance for work related travel.
