Bartender - Fuzzy's Taco Shop Job Overview Fuzzy's Taco Shop is looking for an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Bartender to join our team. Our bartenders do more than make drinks — the bar provides full food and beverage service, so you'll take food and drink orders, serve guests throughout their visit, and help create the fun, laid-back atmosphere Fuzzy's is known for. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, provide great service, and jump in wherever needed. Being a team player is essential. Responsibilities Provide friendly, attentive full-service dining and beverage service to guests seated at the bar. Greet guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, enter orders accurately, and follow up throughout the guest experience. Prepare and serve margaritas, cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Fuzzy's recipes and standards. Serve food and ensure orders are accurate, properly presented, and delivered promptly. Make knowledgeable recommendations and answer guest questions about both the food and beverage menus. Operate the Toast POS system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions. Follow all alcohol-service policies and applicable TABC requirements, including verifying identification and recognizing when alcohol service should be refused. Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar throughout the shift. Complete opening, running, and closing side work. Restock beer, liquor, mixers, glassware, ice, and other supplies as needed. Maintain proper sanitation, food-safety, and alcohol-service standards. Work closely with servers, cashiers, cooks, managers, and other bartenders to keep service running smoothly. Step outside of the bar and assist the rest of the team when needed, including running food, bussing tables, helping guests, restocking, and maintaining dining-room cleanliness. Handle cash responsibly and accurately complete assigned checkout procedures. Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Previous bartending or restaurant experience preferred. Experience providing full-service bar or restaurant service is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable serving both food and alcoholic beverages. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized during high-volume periods. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Dependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed. Comfortable using POS systems; Toast experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service. Must meet all applicable age and TABC requirements for serving alcohol. Food Handler and TABC certification required or must be obtained within the required timeframe.
