Role:
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and producing high-quality meals that meet the standards of our establishment. Your primary focus will be on food preparation, ensuring that ingredients are handled safely and dishes are cooked to perfection. You will work closely with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This role requires physical stamina, as you will be standing for extended periods and moving around the kitchen to complete various tasks. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our customers through consistent and delicious food production.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment. Ability to read and speak English fluently to understand recipes and communicate with team members. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving objects. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Demonstrated manual dexterity and coordination in handling kitchen tools and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working under the supervision of a Head Chef or in a similar kitchen role. Formal culinary training or certification. Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food production planning. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed. Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care, demonstrating manual dexterity. Communicate effectively with team members in English to coordinate tasks. Lift and move kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed, including climbing stairs when required.
