Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support chefs and dietary staff Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies to ensure a hygienic workspace Support meal assembly and plating according to established menus and dietary guidelines Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety regulations Aid in setting up catering events or special meal services, ensuring all items are prepared and presented professionally Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies to maintain a safe working environment for everyone Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment demonstrates familiarity with food handling and customer service skills Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards is advantageous Culinary experience or proficiency with knife skills enhances your ability to assist efficiently in meal preparation Exposure to catering or large-scale food operations provides valuable insight into high-volume meal service Basic understanding of the food industry practices related to serving, food handling, and kitchen operations is preferred Join us in delivering quality meals with enthusiasm!
