In this energetic role, you will assist with food preparation, ingredient handling, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Duties Assist with preparing ingredients for sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met Support the kitchen team in food handling, storage, and sanitation to uphold food safety regulations Help with meal assembly, including rolling sushi and plating dishes attractively Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Follow proper knife skills for slicing fish and vegetables efficiently and safely Aid in inventory management by organizing supplies and ingredients for easy access during busy service times Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients or assisting with food service as needed Skills Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling protocols Previous restaurant or kitchen experience provides a strong foundation for this role Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques enhances your ability to support the culinary team effectively Strong understanding of food safety practices ensures compliance with health standards Proficiency in food industry skills such as cooking, meal preparation, and food service operations Excellent knife skills for precise slicing of fish and vegetables Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and presentation Experience in catering or serving environments adds value to your versatility within the team This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop culinary skills in a lively setting.
