Duties Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure timely meal production Support cooking processes by preparing basic components under the supervision of chefs or cooks Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards Handle food items safely during storage, transfer, and disposal in accordance with health regulations Help with serving food during meal service times and ensure proper presentation Follow all food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality control Support catering events or large-scale meal preparations as needed to meet operational demands Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and knife skills is advantageous Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is highly valued Experience in meal or food preparation within the food industry or culinary settings will help you excel in this role Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in supporting kitchen operations
