The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared, organized, and delivered efficiently to maintain high standards of service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with kitchen staff and servers. Duties Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery. Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, and any potential issues. Assist in food handling and preparation as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by assisting servers with clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Maintain an organized work area, ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available. Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest experience during service periods. Requirements Previous experience in culinary or food service roles is preferred, including knowledge of food handling practices. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and banquet service. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with kitchen staff, servers, and guests. A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing exceptional service.
