Duties Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of menu items following established recipes and standards Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Support meal preparation activities for catering events or daily service, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils to uphold health regulations Contribute to menu planning by offering ideas based on ingredient availability and customer preferences Serve food efficiently during meal times while ensuring presentation standards are met Collaborate with team members to coordinate food prep tasks and streamline kitchen operations Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or restaurant kitchens is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Familiarity with the food industry environment, including catering or large-scale food production is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your culinary talents can flourish.
