4:00 PM•3:00 AM About Fat Shack Bellingham Fat Shack is a fast-casual sandwich concept known for its late-night, indulgent menu and loyal local following. We're a small, independently owned operation looking for an experienced manager to take real ownership of our Bellingham store and get it running the way it should. About the Role We're looking for an experienced restaurant manager to run the night and overnight shift, full stop. This isn't a shift-lead role — we want someone who has genuinely run a restaurant before: managed people, owned the numbers, and knows how to fix a store that isn't performing. Fast-casual experience is a must; this environment moves fast and late, and we need someone who already knows the rhythm of it. You'll be the one on the floor for our busiest, highest-risk hours — closing at 1 AM on weeknights and 3 AM on weekends — making real-time calls with no one above you in the building. We need someone who can be trusted with that. What We're Looking For Significant experience managing a restaurant, ideally fast-casual, including night/close operations Strong people leadership — someone who develops their team and consistently gets the best out of them, not just supervises them Zero tolerance for incompetence or excuses; holds the team, and themselves, to a high standard Comfortable using data (sales, labor cost, waste, customer feedback) to make decisions, not just gut instinct Makes great customer service the non-negotiable standard, every shift, no exceptions Available and reliable for the full night/overnight schedule listed above, including weekends Strong food safety and inventory management fundamentals Comfortable working in a fully cash-free environment (card/digital payments only) What You'll Do Run full manager-in-charge duties for every night and overnight shift Own labor scheduling and closing procedures for the shift Coach and hold staff accountable in real time on the floor Use sales, labor, and customer feedback data to spot problems early and fix them Ensure every customer interaction meets a consistently high service standard Report shift performance and issues to ownership Why Fat Shack Direct access to ownership — no corporate bureaucracy Real authority to run your shifts and make decisions stick Room to grow as we prove out the turnaround Fat Shack Bellingham is an equal opportunity employer
Pay:
$23.00•$25.00 per hour
Benefits:
Employee discount Flexible schedule Application Question(s): You're closing at 1 AM (or 3 AM on weekends) and notice a staff member has been consistently cutting corners on close-out procedures. What do you do? You review the week's sales and labor data and notice labor cost is creeping up on nights you're not personally working. What's your next move? A customer says their order is wrong and gets loud about it while the kitchen is slammed and the line is backed up. How do you handle it?

Restaurant management: 3 years (Required)
