Job Description
Kitchen Assistant -4.0 hours/day, @ Lutacaga Elementary School (Primary Location) (work hours 10:30 am-2:30 pm) Job Description Under supervision, perform varied semi-skilled food service tasks, to include, but not limited to: food preparation, cooking, setup serving lines and salad bars, cleanup kitchen area, wash dishes, carry garbage to dumpsters. Operate and clean kitchen equipment. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Work additional hours and perform work related duties at other building locations as requested by food services supervisor Minimum Qualifications Ability to compute basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Be punctual, and dependable, maintain good personal hygiene and have a positive, team player attitude. Must obtain food handlers permit within 14 days of employment and maintain current card thereafter. Perform physically demanding work as required to meet the needs of food service department. The job required frequent standing, walking, lifting, and bending, Able to regularly lift 20-25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely with and around hot surfaces.
