Position Overview We're looking for a flexible and motivated Seasonal Part-Time Cafe Team Member to join our all-around team. This role rotates between barista, prep cook, cocktails/wine/beverage service, and general café support — depending on the shift. You don't need to be a master of all areas from day one — we'll train you across stations so you can grow with us. The candidate hired for this position will be hired for the seasonal dates between June 1st 2026 and September 30th 2026. What You'll Do (Rotating Duties) Depending on the shift, you may: Make espresso drinks and pour-over coffees as a barista Prepare meal dishes and assemble café fare meals using ventless kitchen equipment Open and serve wine or low-ABV drinks. Prepare, and mix for liquor beverages Greeting guests, take orders, and run the register Assist with prep, stocking, dishes, and general café upkeep Cleaning and maintaining dining space, kitchen area, and bathroom as required Assisting in keeping cafe safe and secure What We're Looking For Positive energy, reliability, and a collaborative attitude with solution-oriented approach. Ability to switch gears between customer service and light kitchen work Passionate with the ever-changing landscape of the food and beverage world with a thirst to always learn more to learn coffee, food, wine and cocktail skills (training provided) Previous barista, kitchen, or service experience a plus — but not required Must be 21+ to serve alcohol (MAST permit required or willing to obtain) WA State Food Worker Card required (or willing to obtain) Skills and Abilities Needed Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Culinary skills to prepare various menu items effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a quick-service fast food restaurant setting. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Capability to perform bussing duties as required. Must be able to stand and or move around for extended periods of time on your feet and continuously move around; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces Managing the menu (read and visually verify information) Taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping); climbing up and down step ladders. Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) Must be comfortable working in a bistro cafe environment with varying temperatures, including exposure to both hot and cold conditions Must be able to work with various types of cafe equipment including but not limiting to, espresso machines, panini press, coffee brewers, waffle makers, blenders, ovens, trash/recycle bins, high-temperature dish washing equipment, low-temperature freezers and refrigerators, ice-machines, and other reasonable bistro cafe equipment may be required Perks & Benefits Competitive pay + pooled tips One Employee Meal per shift.
