Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a vibrant, efficient, and welcoming food environment. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining high standards of food safety. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards. Support the cooking process by handling basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Help with food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations to prevent contamination. Assist in serving food during meal times or catering events, ensuring timely and courteous service. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Qualifications Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous. Strong understanding of food preparation, handling, and safety practices within the food industry. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of catering processes or experience in a culinary setting is a plus. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.
