We want to hear from you! The Alaska Club is currently hiring Lifeguards . No previous work experience required! We are a state-wide network of fitness clubs offering state-of-the-art facilities for all things fitness. The role of Lifeguard is a fun and dynamic position that offers a great team environment and flexible work schedule. Our Lifeguards ensure pool safety in the water and on the pool deck by providing direction and assistance in a variety of situations. Join our team and help develop your leadership skills while providing life-saving skills to our community. This is a great opportunity for students or parents seeking part-time work. Requirements:
16 years of age or older Ability to swim free-style / crawl stroke Red Cross Certification (provided by The Alaska Club) Weekend availability (preferred)
Working Conditions:
Supervising patrons in pool during open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics Supporting fellow Lifeguards and cooperating as a team Standing and moving on deck and in pool
Testing Requirements:
3 laps (untimed) 2 min. tread water Brick retrieval
