Life Guard Levite Jewish Community Center Birmingham, AL Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Seasonal | Full-time $13.50 - $17.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Confidential information handling Lifeguard Training Outdoor work experience Pool maintenance First Aid Certification Performing background checks Lifeguard Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Lifeguards will follow the schedule and help maintain the indoor and outdoor pool so that they're ready for our members and guests, and assist in enforcing CDC guidelines. Lifeguards are supervised by the head guard and aquatics director. The Levite JCC can certify and recertify for Red Cross lifeguard training Work schedules can vary
Hourly Rate:
$13.50 to $17.50 per hour
Benefits:
N/A Essential functions Being alert and assessing potentially dangerous situations, including keeping the deck clean and clear of clutter, addressing behavior, and generally monitoring swimmers. Responding to emergency situations quickly and professionally, utilizing lifeguard and rescue procedures to ensure the optimal outcome. Enforce facility policies, rules, and regulations. Assist in keeping chemical records and accident/incident reports. Attend meetings and in-services as required. Requirements 15 years or older Current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer that has been obtained within the last year. Subject to background check and DHR fingerprinting Ability to see and hear pool patrons in a crowded and noisy environment and communicate with them courteously and effectively. Discreetly handle confidential/sensitive information of members and guests.
