Job Description
First Review of Applications on August 3, 2026 Under direction, supervises, monitors, and coordinates personnel, daily operation and maintenance activities of the Town's Parks & Recreation Department, Lifeguard division. Ensures the health and safety of employees and patrons. Duties may include seasonal maintenance work such as heavy cleaning, operating hand power tools, painting, light landscaping and operating small machinery. Maintains records and reports on daily attendance, maintenance, cash receipts, and prepares and verifies cash register amounts. Performs routine water tests and makes necessary adjustments to pool chemicals. Prepares pool and facility for the opening and/or closing of the day. Maintains cleanliness of pool and facility. Supervises the day-to-day activities including communicating, scheduling work, training, evaluating, and motivating staff. Assists with ordering chemicals and supplies. Assures chemicals are stored properly and in the appropriate feeders. Identifies and removes safety hazards. Maintains vigilance awareness training standards. Operates and performs preventative maintenance on pool equipment with primary focus on the pump room. Responds to emergency situations by performing First Aid, CPR and/or Lifeguard Training Rescues/Techniques. Assists with personnel actions such as selection, promotion, discipline, and evaluations.
