Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for lifeguarding and swimming instruction on a seasonal basis primarily during summer community programs. Positions in this class are filled by students working on a short-term seasonal basis to supplement the permanent staff of an aquatics facility. Supervises swimmers; maintains discipline and order in and around pool facilities. E Assist in maintaining pool and facilities in a clean, sanitary condition. E Administers first aid as necessary. E Perform related duties as assigned. Lifeguarding related experience, including completion of specialized training. Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel, Lifeguarding with CPR/AED For the Professional Rescuer and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel, YMCA Lifeguard Training, or Red Cross Lifeguard Training
