Job Description
The Glenshire/Devonshire Residents' Association (GDRA) is looking for friendly and dynamic individuals to join the team at the Glenshire pool this summer to help create fun memories for our community! The Glenshire Pool is a family-oriented amenity for the Glenshire and Devonshire residents. It is heated and was recently converted into a saltwater system.
Lifeguards are responsible for the general safety of the pool facilities, pool related accidents, cleanliness of pool facilities and possibly teaching swimming lessons. Candidates must have a current lifeguard certification or the ability to obtain one.

Shifts:
Flexible shifts varying in duration, 20 - 40 hours/week. Shifts start 30 minutes before and end 30 minutes after normal pool hours, anywhere from 5 to 8 hours per day.Facilities Hours:

- Ensure all needed equipment is in proper working order and in its proper place prior to opening and closing facilities. Operating pool software, selling passes, and snacks, and checking in customers.
- Ensure proper pool water chemistry by checking and monitoring pool water before opening throughout the day.
- Prevent accidents through the enforcement of Association policies, rules and regulations, governing the conduct of membership and guests at the pool and clubhouse.
- Keep attentive lookout for accidents in the water, on the deck, on and around the diving board and clubhouse grounds.
- Use proper techniques to rescue persons in distress including entering into the water.
- Resuscitate rescued swimmers and administer first-aid to the injured.
- Fill out all accident or incident reports immediately.
- Keep the pool area and bathrooms clean and free of hazards, debris and trash.
- Properly fill out daily/hourly required facility records and reports.
- Remain flexible to fill in for vacant shifts.
- Attend all training and meetings as required.
- Work as a team member to assure all responsibilities and Association goals are achieved.
- Assists in teaching swim lessons if experienced or willing to be trained.
