Maintains active surveillance of the pool area. Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and the "safe-in-six" model; completes related reports as required. Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner. Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Maintains accurate records as required by the YMCA and/or the state health department code. Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed. Flexible on weekdays, but must be available to work on weekends. Must be 16 years of age. Required to complete a 350 yard physical competency water test.

20-29 Typical end time: 6PM Typical start time: 5AM Work Remotely No Summary As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool guests, particularly children, while maintaining a vigilant watch over swimming activities. Your core skills in swimming, CPR certification, and lifeguard training will be essential in responding to emergencies and providing first aid when necessary. Additionally, your premium skills in guest services and pool maintenance will enhance the overall experience for visitors. With a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, you will play a vital role in creating a secure and enjoyable environment for all.
