$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Position Summary The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons by actively monitoring the water, enforcing facility rules, and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies. Lifeguards must remain alert, professional, and proactive at all times while on duty in a residential community pool environment. Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Currently hold or be able to obtain American Lifeguard Association Certification (or equivalent nationally recognized certification) valid through the entire season
• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification
• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously and perform required rescue skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment swim and skills evaluation Key Responsibilities
• Maintain constant surveillance of pool area
• Enforce pool rules in a professional and respectful manner
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as needed
• Activate and follow Emergency Action Plan (EAP) procedures
• Complete opening and closing duties
• Maintain cleanliness of deck and guard areas
• Participate in required in-service trainings and drills
• Communicate effectively with Head Guard and management
• Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly Colorado Statutory & Regulatory Requirements In accordance with applicable Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) regulations and industry best practices for community residential pools:
• Maintain current nationally recognized lifeguard certification
• Maintain current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification
• Perform water rescues and spinal management when required
• Participate in all required in-service training, drills and documentation
• Comply with Colorado youth employment laws for minors under 18 Schedule Requirements
• Seasonal position (May-August)
• Up to 30 hours per week
• Maximum 8-hour shifts
• Weekend and holiday availability required Compensation $16-$18 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and sun
• Ability to lift and assist patrons during emergency situations
• Ability to enter the water quickly and perform physical rescues
